Threatened in the car park

Feb 19, 2021

Please be informed a resident was threatened with a “Shank” today after asking someone to exit the carpark (Mezzanine level) that had followed in behind a car, on foot.

The resident was called to the garage to stop the intruder’s further progress into the building.

After asking the person to leave, they asked if the resident if they were police repeatedly, which they are not. As progression was made to the car park exit, the person got increasingly aggressive, until they suggested that they had a “shank” in their bag and would “stick it up the resident’s arse”. They offered to show the shank but the resident would have to exit the carpark and be away from the cameras (at least the presence of the cameras has some affect).

After ensuring everyone was safe, the resident called the police. During the call the resident saw the same person enter the area behind the Sales Office occupied by squatters. The police who attended within 15 minutes could not get access to the squatters area but suggested that Catalyst was informed of what happened and would be vigilant when in this area. They also took a picture of the person from the resident’s mobile.

The image shows the perpetrator.
